1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using StopLight's AI email classification service ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

StopLight provides an AI-powered email management platform that:

  • Classifies incoming emails into RED (urgent), YELLOW (review today), and GREEN (low priority) tiers
  • Generates AI-powered email summaries
  • Scans email links for security threats
  • Detects deadlines and action items
  • Provides gamification features to encourage productive email habits

3. Account Registration

To use StopLight, you must:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Authorize StopLight to access your email inbox via OAuth 2.0

4. Email Access & Data Processing

By connecting your inbox, you authorize StopLight to:

  • Read incoming email content for classification purposes
  • Generate AI summaries of your emails
  • Scan links contained in your emails for security threats
  • Analyze your email behavior to improve classification accuracy over time

Email content is processed in real-time and immediately discarded after classification. Only metadata and AI-generated summaries are retained. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

5. Subscription & Billing

  • Free Trial: All plans include a 14-day free trial. No credit card required.
  • Billing: After your trial, you will be billed monthly or annually based on your selected plan.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of your billing period.
  • Refunds: Monthly subscriptions are non-refundable. Annual subscriptions may be eligible for a pro-rated refund within the first 30 days.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the AI models
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Use the Service to send spam or bulk unsolicited emails
  • Interfere with the Service's infrastructure or other users' access

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of StopLight — including but not limited to the AI classification engine, user interface, branding, and gamification system — are owned by StopLight and protected by intellectual property laws.

8. Limitation of Liability

StopLight is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that:

  • Email classification will be 100% accurate at all times
  • The Service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • All security threats will be detected

In no event shall StopLight be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
